March 18, 2008. Damien Reynolds, CEO, is pleased to announce the commencement of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for Longview Capital Partners. The program will seek to understand, measure, and report on the social, environmental, and financial impacts of the Company's business operations. CSR policies are moving to the forefront of industries globally. The mining industry is a strong supporter of CSR, as evident in the program at this year's plenary session of the World Mines Ministry Forum at the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada International Convention in Toronto, Canada. As an investment company focused on the exploration and mining sector, Longview Capital will seek advice from a spectrum of leading industry, academic, community and professional institutions to adopt and enhance best practices in CSR, as it strives to be an industry leader. "We are very pleased to be initiating this program to formalize our corporate, social and environmental programs," commented Damien Reynolds. "We firmly believe that a strong CSR program will benefit all of our stakeholders, result in greater business opportunities and help mitigate risks."  Longview Capital has retained Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR; www.cbsr.ca) to assess the Company's current activities and investments, and assist in the development of appropriate policies and best practices. CBSR is a business-led, non-profit CSR consultancy and one of the most respected organizations for CSR membership and advisory services. Longview Capital will formally develop and adopt a CSR Commitment Statement and begin the process of establishing CSR policies and implementing programs across its investment and consulting activities. |
